EEO Public File ReportOctober 1, 2008 This report is being filed to comply with Federal Communications Commission Rules providing the following information for the period of September 22, 2007 to September 21, 2008 for Station KLTI (AM), Macon, Missouri. According to Federal Communications Commission EEO rules, this station employment unit is not subject to formal outreach and recruitment requirements as fewer than five full-time persons are employed. Supplemental Outreach Initiatives and ActivitiesA: Chirillo Electronics, Inc. participated in a scholarship program in conjunction with the International Broadcasters Idea Bank and SESAC which awarded a $7500.00 scholarship award to a college student attending a U.S. College or University who is seeking a degree in Broadcast-Related programs. Some of the programs included degrees in Mass Media, Communication, Journalism, Advertising or Music. B: Chirillo Electronics, Inc. has an ongoing program which allows area school students who are interested in the broadcast industry to "shadow" station personnel. Each year students from various schools throughout the listening area have the opportunity to experience a real life perspective of day-to-day operations in a radio station. One of those "shadow" experiences occurred on April 22, 2008 when KLTI hosted a Sophomore from Macon High School. Representing Chirillo Electronics, Inc. was Kevin Burge, KLTI Operations Manager. C: Chirillo Electronics, Inc. made a presentation on "Careers in Broadcasting" September 25, 2007 at the Linn County R-1 Middle School. During the course of the event, we visited with several students regarding various broadcasting careers. Representing Chirillo Electronics, Inc. was Jeff Elliott, Group Operations Manager. D: Continued to air weekly announcements encouraging those who are interested in a broadcast related career to contact us. E: Continued to air weekly announcements encouraging the help of local organizations in referring qualified applicants to our stations. These announcements inform organizations that wish to receive our job vacancy information to contact us.
